Obradoiro Feito con xeitiño GitHub

Fran Sobrino’s personal workshop.

Obradoiro is where I make the tools my everyday life runs on. Each one is made con xeitiño, to the same standard, and built to keep working for years, long after the thrill of making it has worn off.

Not prototypes that need their maker at the keyboard: finished pieces, made to be used.

How things are made here

Built to last
Every app is built to be stable and robust: it recovers when something fails and is meant to outlive the hardware it runs on.
AI at the bench
AI is a working partner on every app. I run a small army of skilled agents, each with its own written brief: they draft the code, review it, audit it against the standard and plan what comes next. What gets made, and when it is good enough, is still my call.
One way of building
The same standard for every app, and an audit that flags any app drifting from it. Learn the craft once, and every piece is familiar.
Quiet unless it matters
No dashboards to check and no reports that always say “fine”. When something needs a decision, the app asks. Otherwise it gets on with its work.
Grows with use
Performance follows use: a service grows when people use it and shrinks to nothing, cost included, when nobody does.
The whole life cycle
A good craftsman sees every piece through, and knows when to make an app, when to keep improving it and when to retire it.

Why Obradoiro

obradoiro /o.βɾaˈðoj.ɾo/, Galician, noun

  1. A workshop: a place where craftspeople do their work.
  2. The square in front of the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, where generations of stonemasons dressed its granite, each cutting his own mark into the stones he made.
